My work is based on contemporary social observation in order to address a myriad of human emotions emanating from childhood; a stage in personal and cultural development that we can all relate to. This ceramic based body of work with mixed media incorporates toy-like sculptural forms and imagery that explore inner mental states which form part of the human condition.

These symbols of childhood evoke a personal meaning from distant memories which shape the adult behaviour. Although my work is born of a personal narrative, I hope that they will be a source of contemplation for the viewer.
